Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Live Translate, provided by Tap Twice Digital. By downloading or using Live Translate, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If a required term conflicts, Apple’s standard agreement controls to the extent required.
The service
Live Translate records speech at your direction, creates a transcript, translates the transcript into a selected language, and may read the translation aloud. Features, supported languages, limits, and availability may change over time.
Translation limitations
Machine-generated transcription and translation can be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Do not rely on Live Translate as the sole source for emergencies, medical care, legal matters, safety instructions, financial decisions, or any situation where an error could cause harm.
You are responsible for reviewing translations and obtaining a qualified human interpreter when accuracy is important.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use Live Translate lawfully and responsibly.
- Obtain any permission required before recording or translating another person’s speech.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
- Do not misuse Live Translate to harass, threaten, deceive, exploit, or violate another person’s rights.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls or usage limits, disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected portions of the service, or use automated systems to overload it.
- Keep your device and account access secure and notify us through the App Store support channel if you suspect unauthorized use.
Subscriptions
Some Live Translate features require an automatically renewing subscription purchased through Apple. The price and billing period are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple account, and a free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
Subscriptions renew unless canceled through your Apple account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refund requests under its rules. Deleting Live Translate or your account does not itself cancel a subscription.
Accounts
Live Translate may require Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You may sign out or delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or maintain the service.
Ownership
Live Translate, its design, software, branding, and related materials are owned by Tap Twice Digital or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use Live Translate; they do not transfer ownership of the service.
Availability and changes
We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Live Translate. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Internet access and compatible Apple hardware and software may be required.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Live Translate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be waived.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tap Twice Digital and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or harm caused by reliance on a translation. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid for Live Translate during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount required by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as Live Translate changes. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using Live Translate. For questions, use the support contact listed on the app’s App Store product page.
